Caley Ashpole is a self-taught artist based in Far North Queensland, where the coastal landscapes and her passion for interior styling converge to inspire her art. Her work is characterized by tropical motifs, seashells, coral, palm trees, and birds...that reflect both her environment and heritage.

Drawing inspiration from her grandfathers...one, an Australian artist active in the 1970s, and the other, born on Abaiang Island in Kiribati. Caley's art is a tapestry of familial and cultural influences. She is also a descendant of Thomas Hoyle & Sons, pioneering textile manufacturers from Manchester, whose innovations in the 18th century significantly impacted the cotton industry.

Caley's artwork has been featured in British Vogue (March, April, and May 2025 editions) and Pacific Island Living Magazine, the latter being widely distributed across Qantas and Virgin lounges in Australia, numerous hotels in New Zealand, and select international airport lounges.

​

Her pieces have garnered admiration from notable figures, including Roger Nisbet and David Flint Wood (husband of India Hicks), founders of the Bahamas-born rum label Idle Assembly. Caley's original artworks are available at Coastal Vintage Noosa, further cementing her presence in the art community.

Before dedicating herself to art, Caley completed a Diploma of Interior Design and worked in the radio and broadcasting industry. The sudden passing of her father in 2020 rekindled her passion for creating art. In early 2025, Caley was diagnosed with breast cancer, a profound experience that has deepened her connection to her work. Throughout her treatment, art has served as a source of solace and strength, reinforcing her commitment to bringing joy and beauty into people's homes.

Described by her husband as "eccentric," Caley aims to spread happiness through her art, helping others to create spaces that feel both personal and uplifting.
